Whale

Down in the lowest levels of foreign waters, one of the last remaining ancient beings dwells
Underneath the untouched heavens and hells of the sea floor, he soars shallowly above,
For such a peaceful protector of the ocean depths, he feasts only on tiny living shells,
A creature of tranquility and a ceaseless searcher, exploring the unknown for the thing he loves.

His family of other omnipotent souls follows his guide,
Cresting on the water’s surface the land and it’s people’s look so small,
When creatures witness the very sight of him they feel a sense of divine pride,
A wish to be like him, a wish as strong as the moon controls his tide.

After thousands of miles and hundreds of years he comes to rest in waters he called home,
For he had only one territory, and it was as wide and deep as he could travel.
An entire cosmos of uncharted wonderful waters is his throne.
And in his passing, the entire world felt as though their wish had unraveled.

And for some people, their wishes came true,

For the other’s, they could only wish to of witnessed such a magnificent view.
